Your business has outgrown the way
you've been doing things.
I build custom tools, automations, and practical business systems that save time, reduce chaos, and actually fit the way your company works.
Customer portals · Booking tools · Lead trackers · Training hubs · Dashboards · Workflow automation

A note from the founder
I built The Busy Hour for businesses that have real problems—not software departments.
I've spent years working inside growing small businesses. I've watched owners handle sales, service, scheduling, hiring, bookkeeping, and customer questions in the same afternoon because there was no one else to do it.
The software built to help was usually made for companies ten times their size. It came with expensive subscriptions, long onboarding, and a hundred features the team would never use.
So I started The Busy Hour to close that gap.
I build practical tools around the way a business actually works. That might be a customer portal, a lead tracker, a training hub, an automated report, or a simple internal app that replaces a spreadsheet everyone secretly hates.
My finance and operations background means I understand the problem behind the request. I do not just make something look good. I make sure it works in the real world.
You didn't start your business to spend your busiest hour on busywork. That's what I'm here for.
What I Build
Practical tools for the work slowing you down.
You do not need more software just for the sake of having more software. You need the right tool for the problem in front of you.
Custom Business Tools
InternalLightweight internal tools built around your workflow. Replace messy spreadsheets, scattered notes, and repetitive admin work with something your team can actually use.
Examples: Calculators, trackers, forms, internal portals, approval tools
Customer-Facing Tools
CustomerMake it easier for customers to get answers, request service, submit information, or take the next step—even when your team is busy.
Examples: Booking tools, quote requests, customer portals, intake forms, FAQ assistants
Workflow Automation
AutomationConnect repetitive steps so information moves where it needs to go without someone copying, pasting, reminding, or checking it all day.
Examples: Follow-up automation, notifications, task routing, document workflows
Dashboards & Reporting
InsightsTurn scattered business data into reporting that helps you see what is happening and decide what to do next.
Examples: Leadership dashboards, KPI tracking, financial reporting, performance scorecards
Training & Knowledge Hubs
PeopleCreate a central place where employees can learn the job, find answers, and follow the right process without asking the same questions every week.
Examples: Onboarding apps, training lessons, SOP libraries, quizzes, certificates
Systems & Operations Support
OperationsSometimes the tool is only part of the solution. I can also help organize the process, document the workflow, and build the structure around it so the improvement actually sticks.
Examples: Software implementation, process design, finance systems, team workflows
Not sure what you need built?
That is completely normal. Tell me what keeps taking too long, falling through the cracks, or making you say, “There has to be a better way.” We’ll start there.
The Process
Straightforward. No retainer surprises.
Discovery Call
We get clear on where you are, where you're trying to go, and whether I'm the right person to get you there. No pressure. No pitch deck.
Assessment
I audit your current systems, financial structure, and team to find the actual gaps — not the symptoms. You'll walk away with clarity regardless of what comes next.
Build
I build the infrastructure your company needs: the systems, the structures, the documentation, the processes. Not advice. Deliverables.
Support or Hand-Off
Ongoing fractional support or a clean handoff to your team with full documentation so it actually sticks. Either way, you leave with something that works without me in the room.
Who I Work With
Built for operators, not bureaucrats.
I work best with owner-operators and leadership teams who are serious about growth and done explaining what they need to someone who doesn't understand the business.
Field Services
HVAC, plumbing, sanitation, landscaping, pest control
Logistics & Delivery
Route-based businesses and fleet operations
Home Services
Multi-location service companies in growth mode
Health & Wellness
Med spas, sauna studios, fitness, aesthetics
Property Services
Property management, maintenance, facilities
Skilled Trades
Contractors and trade businesses scaling past $5M
Retail & E-Commerce
Inventory-heavy businesses that need operational clarity
Family-Owned Business
Owner-operators transitioning from hustle to systems
If your company is a startup up to $20M in revenue, is growing faster than your systems can handle, and you're the person who has to figure out how to fix that — we should talk.
About
I've been the person in the room who has to figure it out.
I'm Jessica Kunce — a finance and operations leader who specializes in building the infrastructure that lets growing companies actually scale. I've run finance, HR, payroll, systems, and operations simultaneously for a multi-division field services company in Northern California, and I've done it with limited resources, real deadlines, and actual accountability.
That background means I don't arrive with a theoretical framework. I arrive knowing what field operations look like at 5 AM, what it costs when a driver doesn't show, why your QuickBooks doesn't match your bank account, and why every hiring process needs a paper trail. I build systems that outlast me and structures that work whether or not I'm in the room.
I work with a small number of clients at a time. This is intentional. If we work together, you get my full attention, not a junior analyst with a template.

Let's Talk
Book a discovery call.
30 minutes. No pitch. No pressure. We talk about where your business is, what's not working, and whether I'm the right person to help. If it's not a fit, I'll tell you — and I'll probably point you toward someone who is.
